This is the video for the 2000 smash hit “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)” which thrust Sophie into the limelight. It was her first song-writing attempt and was a collaboration with Italian DJ Spiller. Enjoy!

This is a video of theaudience’s hit single ‘A Pessimist is Never Disappointed”. It is probably their best known song, and reached #27 on the UK charts. This is the final video from theaudience, and i know that i have only been posting videos for now, but i dont have a lot of time on my hands. More will come! Enjoy!
This the video for theaudience’s second single “If You Can’t Do It When You’re Young; When Can You Do It?”. It reached #48 on the UK charts, a big improvement from their first single. Enjoy!
This was the first single released by Sophie’s band theaudience. It reached #170 on the UK charts (not the best) but is a pretty good song. Don’t mind the title, theaudience were odd that way.
This is a brief profile for those who aren’t aware who Sophie Ellis-Bextor is.
She was born in London 10th April 1979, to Janet Ellis and Robin Bextor. Her music career began in 1997 with the short-lived mildly successful indie band theaudience. They had two Top 40 singles and a Top 20 album but broke up soon after.
Soon after this though, Sophie achieved huge success providing vocals on the 2000 hit Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love). The song went No. 1 in many countries and kick started her solo career. In 2001 Sophie released her solo debut album “Read My Lips” which spawned the hit singles “Take Me Home” and “Get Over You” as well as the massive hit “Murder on the Dancefloor”.
In 2003 Sophie followed up her success with “Shoot From the Hip” which produced two Top 10 UK singles. For the past three years Sophie has taken a break to get married and have a son…Sonny. She is currently completing her third album “Trip the Light Fantastic”, with the first single “Catch You” expected to be released February 2007.
